March holds endless days to celebrate! Between the week-long celebrations of sleep and procrastination and chocolate... and the daily festivities of confessions (and memory) and awesomeness, this is definitely a month of complete fabulousness!!! Why have I never heard of these holidays before? Ahhh, "mad as a March hare" suddenly has more meaning. I could use some happy, bubble-blowing, awkward moments.

This is gonna be a great month! Every week is YoYo week - at least at Mike's house when I babysit the kids. The two oldest girls have limited food likes and almost never want the kinds of foods I consider 'normal' so I finally decided we aren't going to argue over it - not worth it, after 5 years. So I always remind then - YoYos (Your On Your Own). Leslie used to have this for dinner sometimes at her house and I borrowed her 'recipe'.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Chocolate week? I don't know if I can wait until then. But if I think about a *whole week* of chocolate, then I think I can endure.
I notice Panic Day and Clean Your Home Office day are on the same day. Hmmm. You decide.
Also, I can't tell you how I appreciate the commemoration on the 11th of those of us (me, Helen Kay, Teri, who know who else?) who have only one kidney - World Kidney Day.
As young as you feel day seems cool - I have realized that I have been enjoying an extraordinarily long youth. I'm not waiting until the 22nd. V
My personal favorites are napping day (if only I could actually take a nap...) I only have 3 more days to organize my "home Office" or I can "just get over it". I think I'll get over it. I like the "Won't you be my neighbor day", I'm a big fan of Mr. Rogers.
ReplyDeleteWhere are the "Ides of March"? Maybe that is best left out anyway... Let's stick with napping.
XOXO
Love, Julie
I forgot - for the Kidney Day, There is also Grant and Jesse. We're getting quite a crowd here!
ReplyDeleteI loved Mr. Rogers, too. Wonderful man. I kinda miss him. V
You neglected to mention one unofficial holiday, yet still very important day. March 27. The date set for The Third Annual Moustache March Gala! (Black tie optional) It's ok, I forgive you. And I will be posting pictures of this marvelous event and even telling you all about it. Oh the joy of fabulously, festooned, facial follies! (That means Moustaches) Not sure if that makes sense, but it's very fun to say out loud.
ReplyDeleteHow could I have forgotten the Third Annual Moustache March Gala?!? You said in an earlier post that you were going to elaborate on this fabulous event, so do tell!! It sounds just weird enough to fit with the rest of the month. Do we have to wait until the 27th?

I will tell all about the Moustach March Gala next week, as I've been completely caught up in writing a story, several actually, but my main focus has been on one in particular. I'm a bit sleep deprived due to said story. I can't stop writing it once I get on a roll. That being said, I need to get to a stopping point, and then I can properly tell you all about the greatest party of the year!
