Because there is an urgent need for more awareness of all holidays in general, here is a post of all the "Weird Holidays" that deserve more public attention. No, I did not make these up. Yes, they are real holidays.

22 - Answer your Cats Question Day
23 - Measure your Feet Day
25 - Opposite Day (my birthday... go figure)
February
This weeks holidays include, but are not limited to:
1 - Serpent Day

Bummer that I missed both January 3 and January 9. - Victoria
ReplyDeleteWish I'd had known! I'd have definitely celebrated Play God Day with Victoria, and then also Feast of Fabulous Men Day - just the sound of that is interesting!
ReplyDeleteOh, and must not forget "Burning of the Witches Day" in Italy the end of Dec/early Jan. That one is always fun!
I've known some witches I would have liked to include in that celebration. In fact, I've been one of them! Victoria
ReplyDeleteI'm reading the post again, and wondering if January 12, Feast of Fabulous Men Day is feasting in celebration of fabulous men, or actually includes feasting on the fabulous men. ??? Victoria
ReplyDeleteAlice, keep us informed of upcoming holidays in future months. We all need more celebration days! So do they still burn witches in Italy? That could be scary for most of us, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteI'm not too sure about the Fabulous Men Days. ???? T.
Teri, I know several Fabulous Men. Nathan, Michael, Shawn, Jonathan, Joshua, Jacob, Andrew, Eli, Kameron, Ben C., Tony M., Toni Goodwin,John Carpenter, Steve, Kevin, etc., etc., etc. They are out there, just as are some Fabulous Women. - Victoria :>}
ReplyDeleteHey - I just read that February 5 is National Wear Read Day -"to help build awareness for heart disease, the No. 1 killer of adult females." Quote is from the NY Daily News, but it wouldn't let me copy and paste. - Victoria
ReplyDeleteWell, of course I know that the ones who are our descendants are fabulous. In fact, that one is so obvious to me, I didn't mention it. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteMakes me feel sad for so many others, though! Ah...is it because they are our offspring, cousins, etc...the fact they are associated with us...that makes them fabulous? I hereby declare the month of February to be Fabulous Mecham-Wilsted et al Month! So, everyone, celebrate everyday just how fabulous you (we) all are!
Here, here! - V
